Repose I suppose
voices that speak sometimes without words

Voices circle overhead
Shout and clamour
Within your head
Speak and utter
Shouting, baying
Mindless of the truth
They're saying

Truth they say
Is what I speak
Hounds that bay
Snarling, rasping
Tearing despite your plea
Voices i'm afraid
Barking up the wrong tree.

When shout is done
And you lie in pieces
Bleeding,feeling stunned
One voice remains
Speaking soft words
Saying come
rest your crying have I heard

Look upon these thoughts
know that I'm for you
unconditional, knowing all your faults
Let me take you
in truth's embrace
look upward
upon my face

Rest my dear
let your striving be ended
let the voices that circle your fear
be gone
as in truth I hold you
truth that set's you free
from your ice cold igloo

knowing that you are safe
safe from thoughts
that wonder and give chase
take time and let
rest heal your pain
then my dear
together, we'll walk again
