Shattered Sunrise

Shattered Sunrise

As I walk the cold, wet sands of life,
a shimmering coin of hope creeps into the
night sky on gossamer wings,
But,
Without you beside me to share my joys,
my fears, without your loving embrace, without
you to dry my tears,
I see only a shattered sunrise.
