She awakened in a field of wildflowers
Her hair wreathed with flowers and dew
And her heart filled with joy anew
The thought of it, apogee to nadir

She sat among the prairie wildflowers
Gazing up at the evening sky
Searching for him with longing eye
Til Artemis' jealous visage did appear

She stood in a field of wildflowers
Let it not have been just a dream
His sweet kisses her soul did redeem
The cold laugh of Artemis released fear.

She shivered in a field of wildflowers
"It was a dream," the words floated to her
"A dream and nothing more" came through her
She searched the sky above, he was not near.
