Background info: This was written for my friends from elementary school, whom I also had gone to high school with. I had moved away for junior high, but then moved back.
Seven years ago, or more, you knew me We were friends, talking together in class or playing on the playground during recess When life was innocent and we were naive But then I seemed to disappear from the earth for three years And if you remembered me then I wouldn't know During those three years you've made new friends But then I came back, returned from nowhere back into existence And you do still remember me Though we are not the same as we were before But can you still remember those foolish yet memorable days? Sometimes you just turn around and those you know You must learn to know again For they are not as you remember them.
