Pheonix Saga : The Begining

Chapter I
Escaping Destiny

Hi there, My names Phoebe Halliwell, I’m in VCE and I thought I had my life worked out… well that really worked! , I also happen to be a witch, no not the type of witch who flies on a broom and has warts and stuff, I’m a cute witch, call me conceited if you like but most of the guys at school think I am too. I’ve noticed that things have been happening really quick, like I mean in the last fortnight my sisters and I have; Vanquished 27 demons, fought off 12 witch hunters and cast over 200 spells. Boy has it tired me out so I’m going with a few of my friends to a place we hang out called “Eddie’s”

“ Look at him sitting all by himself over there” Tiffany whispered to Chloe and Rachel
“ I know how much of a loner is he” Rachel replied
“Hi Guys what’s new” I walked in
“ Phebes check that guy out what a freak” Tiffany pointed to a brown-blonde haired guy with blue eyes and headphones on with a guitar in his arms
“ Have you ever thought he might be nice”
“ You have got to be joking”
“Well I’m going over there”
“He’s new to our school” Chloe Informed me
“Well let’s go welcome him” I stated and began to walk over, Chloe followed
“ Hi there, how are you, what’s ya doing?!?” I asked
The guy took his head phones off and looked up
“Pardon I couldn’t hear you” He told me
“ Hi, what’s ya doing” I asked again giving him a warm smile
“ Hey, I’m writing songs” he said
“Really?!?”
“Yeah”
“ Are you any good at playing” Chloe asked
“ Oh I’m not exactly the best but I’m alright I guess”
“Would you be able to give us a little Demo” I smiled sweetly
“Uh… I don’t know … Oh alright” He handed me the head phones
He started playing
“ This is really good” I replied
“Thanks”
“So...” I started
“Come on gang we’re going” Tiffany said butting in
“Nice talking to you and I loved the music,” I added as we followed Tiff out
“ See ya loser” Rachel snarled at him as she went out

We walked out into the car park
“Hey it’s getting late I’ll see you tomorrow at school I said pulling my ponytail out and wrapping the hair band around my wrist and shouldered my bag and walked off towards home, I walked into the subway to take it to my block
“ Hey there sweetie wanna make your dreams come true,” a guy said from in the shadows
“Nah thanks I’ll be right” I tried to sound polite I put my hand on the rail to go down the steps when it hit me…

A girl (me), struggling against a huge muscle bound thug trying to rape me then a Teenage guy walking up and holding the thug up against the wall with one hand and asking me if I was all right…

Reality flooded back in and I cautiously took a step down, I hate Premonitions, they can scare the hell out of you…
“Come on babe” the guy whined
“Get lost” I shouted
That’s when he grabbed me
“ Let me go” I Screamed
“All in good time cutie, when I’ve got what I want” He sighed
“ Get stuffed your not getting anything off me” I declared
He held me down on the cold cerement ground face up and moved his hand up my thigh closer to my skirt, and then he unbuttoned part of my top, revealing my purple bra. He continued to unbutton my top and almost ripped it off me then as he was working his way to my bra catch.
Out of the shadows stepped a leather jacket bound teen
“Hey Dude! Leave her alone” He ordered
“ Hey Bud push off” The thug replied still
Having a go at me
“Oh K you asked for it” he sighed and grabbed the thug by the throat and pushed him against the wall…

Shadows engulfed 4 other people and me.
“ You think you can get out of this one Demon, You shall die and so will your little witch friends” a fiery figure declared
“You won’t get away with this” The male next to me stated
“Oh no! But I already have” The Figure laughed coldly
“I swear I’ll kill you”
“ Whatever but right now you are boring me take them away” the figure ordered and 8 hunched over creatures dragged the male away…
Once again Reality shattered back into existence
And the thug was on the ground out cold
“ Are you ok” the leather jacket bound Guy asked
“Sure I am” I replied trying to get a decent look at his face
“Well then I must be off” He walked off then turned back, I saw a unearthly glitter in his eyes like the fire of 40,000,000 suns then he stepped off the platform and disappeared into the darkness.
And I got on the subway and went home with no more troubles. Or so I thought


Chapter II
Pheonix...
Hey the names Pheonix. I’m a Loner, well at least at my new school I am. I don’t get on with most of the guys and the girls hate me. One even told me I was a loser and all I was doing was sitting at a table in a cafe playing my guitar to myself not annoying anyone. This all happened because of this one girl who seemed to stand out she came up to me and started talking to me, I was stunned. Utterly shocked

They left and she said she liked the music I was playing… there is something weird about her, I wonder… nah she can’t be she’s too cute… Oh crap did I say that out loud
What’s that, your wondering what she can’t be!!! Well it’s a long story…

It started before my new school, you see there is something not right about me…Ha yeah really funny! No not that… something Majorly Wrong…. I’m a demon… hence the name I’m after these three witches also known as the charmed ones they are three sisters, to become a fully fledged Demonic warrior I need to destroy these three… “Abominations”. So I’m been searching for them for nearly close to 3 years now
And I’m so close to finding them too
But that girl just can’t be
Anyway after that little subway incident I went back to my apartment to write down the rest of the lyrics to the song I was making, when in the centre of the room a flame lit and out of it stepped Seraph,
“Well now, Devil Bird have you got any farther into finding those accursed charmed ones” He asked
“No I haven’t!!!”
“Well you had better hurry up and kill them” he said walking around the place
“ I’m sure that I am getting warmer though, I can feel their human blood pulsing” I snarled

“ Ahh. Very good Pheonix you will be a great asset to the council of 6”
“So all I have to do is Kill these three and I will be put into the ranks”
“But of course”
“Good, Then I must be off I have to find these vermin”
“ Alright Good luck “
“I don’t need luck I carve my fate myself” I walked out looking for any leads at all
I walked around into the early hours of the morning then went back home to get my stuff for another day of School

*** 8:45 AM ***

I stormed into the locker room and knocked this girl flat on her back. I continued to my locker and punched it. It opened I stuffed my junk in there then went to a little spot just to the left of the lockers and sat down in a mood worse then anyone you knew
‘ What the hell was that for” the Girl asked
“ Leave me alone!” I sighed
“Hey you’re the guy from the Café!” she exclaimed
“So.”
“So… what’s your name?”
“What’s it to you” I declared
“Hey sorry for being polite” She seemed confused and then walked off
“ Wait… My… My name’s Pheonix” I Sighed
“Pheonix?” She repeated then turned around
“ Yeah, And I’m sorry for knocking you over and being mean just then”
“You don’t look like the sort of person to say sorry?” She smiled “ do you do it often?”
“No!”
“I can see that” she giggled
“So may I know your name?”
“Phoebe, Phoebe Halliwell”
“Nice name”
“Thanks”
“ No actually that name is really cute”
She blushed a little
“Thanks”
“It suits you”
“What’s that meant to mean?” She went a little darker shade of crimson
“As if you didn’t know, don’t you look at yourself in the mirror” I covered my mouth
“Um… I’m going to take that as a compliment” She smirked
“ Um… that’s not what I meant to say” I recovered
“Oh really?” She gave me a weird yet cute look, DAMN IT what am I saying she is a mortal she can’t be cute…
“So what were you going to say?” she looked at me
“ That you should look in the mirror cause you look awful” I clasped my hand over my mouth I could have kicked myself but it just fell out
“Uh…” she stood up tears welling in her eyes and ran off
“ THAT’S…. Not what I meant” I sighed looking down at my airwalks that’s the problem with being a demon I can’t help what I say sometimes it’s like I have a second being in my head aswell as myself
“ You’re an Idiot” I told myself
I walked into class
The same old stuff
Only one seat left next to that girl, she usually gives me a warm smile but I don’t think she will ever now
“Look…. Phoebe… I’m really sorry”
She looked up red eyed and then cleared away her tears and went to open her mouth to say something I didn’t let her
“Listen I really like you you’re the first person ever to have accepted me here and I would like to…
“Just tell me one thing…Please?”
She swallowed hard
“Yeah!?”
“Why did you say that!”
“Trust me you wouldn’t understand”
“Wouldn’t I?”
“Nope it’s way too confusing”
“OK. I trust you”
“As I was saying I would like to ask you if you would like to…
“Miss Halliwell and Company would you please shut up and let us learn” the teacher bellowed
“Yes Mrs Manning” Phoebe droned
I really hate all these interruptions it’s hard enough asking her if she would like to go out on a date with out the teacher commenting as well…
We sat there listening to some shit about the wars big deal been there seen that, half asleep I decided to ease this pain of not knowing and decided to write her a note

Phoebe, I know this is quite of a step but I was wondering if you would like to come with me to the movies 2nite?

I folded it up and tapped her on the shoulder and passed it to her
She unfolded it, read it then scribbled something on the bottom of it then passed it back with a smile

Chapter III
True Identities Reviled
(Phoebe)

“ Hey, Can’t stay long just dropping off my bag and getting ready to go to the movies” I yelled nearly breaking the door off it’s hinges and almost knocking Prue’s work papers on the ground
“Sorry” I called running up the stairs and into my room
What to wear, what to wear? I sighed
I rummaged around in my wardrobe for what seemed like hours until I found the perfect outfit, a skimpy looking top and a firm fitting Skirt, Nah can’t wear that he’ll think I’m some sort of whore like Tiffany
I continued looking…. Yes even better
I ran into the bathroom to get changed and do my hair
*** An hour later***
A car horn beeped outside my place
“See ya that’s my ride” I ran down the stairs and looked in the downstairs mirror just to check my hair… Hey it’s a girl thing!
Opening the door I came head on to the huge bouquet of rose
“Gee your in a hurry” Pheonix laughed
“Yeah well you know I…” I started
“Wait a minute before you start can I just say one thing, you look really really Gorgeous in that” He added “ oh and these are for you, I didn’t know what to get girls in this day and age in the dark ages you would sweep them off their feet onto your horse but now…. I don’t know and that wasn’t meant to sound that way”
I looked at him “ what?”
“Don’t worry just fooling around” He looked a little worry that I might have heard all of that so I just shrugged and pretended that I didn’t hear it
“So… you ready to go?” I asked him
“Sure”
“Bye Prue, Piper be back late” I called as I shut the door
We walked out into the night “ wow is that yours” I exclaimed
“Sure is”
“That’s a 2002 Viper GTX”
“Yep first of it’s kind”
“And it’s the perfect colour”
“Yeah I know”
He opened the door for me I got in then he shut the door and walked around and opened his and started the car
We drove out of the driveway and out towards the multiplex.
When we got there we left the car on the street and headed in
But a guy stopped Pheonix before we went in to the film
“You go ahead Phebes,” He said
I did and chose our seats
After about 15 minutes Phoenix came in
“Who was that” I asked
“Just a friend” He sighed
“Listen, Pheonix you seem like you could handle almost anything so I’m going to tell you something I haven’t told anyone
“No don’t!” He told me
“What?” I asked him really confused
“ I already know and I don’t like what I have to do” he stated hanging his head
“What are you talking about”
“Listen just get out of here… you know that guy who I was talking to he is the second in command in the demon council and he just told me that you’re a witch, one of the ones I’ve been sent to kill”
I just looked at him then started to back away
“No… Phoebe I told him that I wouldn’t, but he is sending a squad of Sub demons after you and your sisters”
A smash alerted both of us to their presence
“Get outta here,” he shouted to me
“No I’m staying to help you,” I said
“Listen I can take these pests they could kill you with one blow”
“They are just some thugs holding up the movie theatre” I told him.
“No they ain’t” He said and turned to see them pile in through the door “get out of here”
I ran to the front of the Theatre and hid so that I could still watch.
“ Come on you arseholes” Pheonix yelled looking around to see if I had left when he couldn’t see me he changed…
Instead of a shy high school guy there stood a 6-foot demon with a flaming sword
“Come on!” He bellowed at them
They kind backed off then another one appeared that I recognised
“What are you doing here” Pheonix hesitated
“Killing you Fallen Angel” He replied
This was all strange to me Fallen Angel? What was with that?
“Ah Devil Bird” Another one appeared “ Now’s your last chance, you’ve already missed your chance in the council but you may leave this place in one piece if you give up and hand them over
“Never!” that’s when four of them pinned Pheonix against the wall
“Now Fallen Angel What were you saying”
“As long as I breathe you’ll never….”
I didn’t hear the rest because at them moment a demon grabbed me from behind
“Let Go of me” I yelled
“Hey boss I found one” The little demon snickered
“Ah good work” Balthazar reassured him as the little demon lead me over to the group
“Well Phoebe, we meet again”
“Yeah apparently” I sighed
“You know him?” Pheonix exclaimed
“Yes she does she used to be my girlfriend”
“ Yeah but you were a complete arsehole Cole” I screamed
“ Fallen Angel you may yet redeem your self kill her and you may enter into the council” Balthazar informed Pheonix
“Fine” The Demons released Pheonix and he walked over to me
“Don’t do it” I whispered “ please don’t do it” tears welling up in my eyes I waited for the finishing blow
The sword went up poised to strike…. The swing….



Chapter IV
Crucial Strike
(Pheonix)
I looked at Phoebe; I couldn’t do it… I have to, just to live… and what is she to me …nothing? What do I owe her…? Nothing!
I poised my sword in the air and then saw the tear welling in her eyes as I swung I completely melted and swung over her head and into some of the minor demons instantly they burned up hissing and snarling then turning to ash
I kicked the other little demon away and yelled to Phoebe “RUN!” she did and Balthazar grabbed her
“Let her go “ I ordered
“Who’s going to make me”
“I will” I declared as I thrust my sword at him
It struck him off guard and his grip of Phoebe’s arm release she ran out and into the night while I fought on…
The battle continued until seraph called the forces off and left me in the middle of the theatre half dead, as I stumbled out into the cold night, shadows plagued at my mind something wasn’t right and I knew it. And there was nothing I could do to stop it happening… I changed my pace to a run trying to get away from all of humanity, this had happened too many times before this… I knew exactly what would happen first, my mind would pierce with these thoughts… just like the one I was getting then it would turn into a headache. I would fall to the ground then as if under a spell I would ignite with my unholy demonic flames. Hover about 5 inches off the ground and destroy anything that crosses my path… I could feel it welling up in my mind then it struck… My body convulsed with the tingling sensation of unearthly power then my eyes rolled back in my head
“You ok” Phoebe ran up to me when I collapsed on the road
“GET AWAY FROM ME!” I bellowed
“Your hurt…or something” She went to touch me
“DON”T TOUCH ME!!” I yelled under pain
“But.” she tried again
“LEAVE ME ALONE!!” I pushed her away…well away straight into a lamppost to be specific
She looked up in horror as I flew off the ground and hovered, blood red eyes and all flames you name it
“Get… outta… here… please… I… don’t… want…to…hurt…you” I struggled to say as my true demonic form took control over my body
“Who …Are you”
“My name! You all ready know, I am the Avenging Pheonix” My other half bellowed at her, I tried to force my arm down cause I knew what would happen if it rose to about the same hight as Phoebe,
The all familiar energy pulsed from my fingers and formed into a orb
< NOT BLOODY LIKELY> I yelled at my other half
< And what are you going to do about it> He calmly said
< I…> I just had to watch as he went to fire the orb, but Phoebe had disappeared
< Ha, She’s gone> I triumpatly said
Then my vision faded
< Night night Pheonix>
The last thing I felt was the thump on the asphalt…

“… What are you crazy you can’t…”
“…. There’s no where else he can go…”
“…He’ll kill us when he wakes up…”
“… Some how I don’t….”
“ Phoebe you can’t… sent to kill … You… Here…”
“Piper…”
“ No….”
“Prue…”
“You’ll be…all…danger…him here”
“…Listen to your sisters Phoebe… I know this creature from somewhere but… I’ll check…”
< What’s going on here>?
I tried talking “ Wh…. Ere…. A…m… I”
<Eyes open>
I tried and the light flooded in “Ouch…. My…eyes”
“Oh yuck”
My eyes rolled back to their normal position and I saw three girls looking at me < whau never had this many girls at on time> “Who…Are…”
“Pheonix?”
“Wh…. At” I struggled to get even that word out
“Don’t hurt us…”
“If… I…. Knew…who you…. Were I’d be able to… promise” My speech was returning
“ We…”
“ Don’t tell him Phoebe,” One of them said
I tried focusing and I could make one of them out…Phoebe
“Ah the legendary Charmed Ones” I stated
“You told him we were all witches” the other one hit Phoebe in the arm
“No… I knew already…” I sighed trying to regain full focus
“ Oh this is great, just great now we have a type of Demonic Mafia on our tails”
“ Yeah I know all about that…. One thing is that…”
“What? The three looked at me
“You have me to help you” I tried to sit up, couldn’t
“ Um. Let me undo these straps” Phoebe said
“We had to just to make sure you won’t hurt us”
“Oh this is good three chicks and me helpless, this must be a dream” I laughed, they didn’t… then I passed out again

Chapter V
New Reasons to Fight
(Pheonix)
Damn Subject. Damn Classes, Damn School all together!
I have too Much other then school to think about!
So I skipped the next 8 weeks and trained I never knew how out of shape I was taking on a whole Case of Sub-Demons really let’s you know how out of touch you really are.
Like sure I took them on with quite difficulties I even had to call upon My Demonic self to help out Gees if I have the Strength and All the better attributes of My Demon and I still can’t take em that means something
I’ve devoted all my waking moments to fight training
And I’ve learned that I’ve lost one major Quality I used to have Flight, no more Wings for me, of any kind, Feather or Leather…

But I must admit that these few weeks have been good I’ve regenerated myself and the skill with my Sword have returned and I can hold back the demon a little better then the day before…
So Anyway, As I was saying each day brings with it a little more. After 4PM every day Phoebe drops by to say Hi but I really think it’s to make sure I’m Ok but I still enjoy those times, who would think a Mortal as your Best friend Gees some company but it’s great , We chat and Stuff and Laugh which is still a disturbing Emotion I think When She laughs She looks so ‘Cute’ but Laughter is Strange, besides I’ve just the hang of Smiling again …
“Ya Know What I think it’s time you showed your face around school” Phoebe sighed
“Why, is everyone missing me” I sarcastically said
“Well yeah that and I’m missing you” She blushed
“That’s one thing I can’t get is why you trust me so much , I TRIED TO KILL YOU !!!”
“I Know but you have to have some one to talk to”
“Nha, I don’t besides I’m starting to think your sisters are just being friendly because of the whole Destroy situation and you just need me to help kill them”
“Well. Piper, still doesn’t trust you but Prue thinks you’re kind of sweet”
“And you…”
“I think your Pretty cool and Sweet and Charming” she leaned over to kiss me
I stood up “ what are you doing”
“Well… I Don’t know” She looked embarrassed
It pays to act ignorant sometimes
“you know what, for a 3 Era Demon your pretty Dumb when it comes to Our feelings” She looked a little annoyed
“Sorry , and it’s not a 3 era Demon I’ve been around since the dark ages but I must replenish after each age, so I lose all contact with Mortals and forget”
“Well I guess that’s an alright excuse” She Smiled
‘It..Is ???’
“Yes”
“Alright then”
“So…”
“I’m getting way stronger now that I’ve started training again”
“Great so does that mean that soon we will be able to take on those demon buddies of yours”
“Yes but I’ve been thinking I don’t want you getting hurt so when I do can you keep well away after last time I don’t want to hurt you and I nearly did last time”
“Alright”
“Great…So feel like going to the mall or something ?”
“Yeah only if your shouting, I’m broke”
“alright I guess I could”
