Get In Your Right Mind
A friend with an addiction is told to sober up

You're acting pretty crazy and you can't stand still
like you were just shot in the head
You don't see a thing right in front of your face
And you didn't hear a word I said
What have you been smoking,
or what did you drink?
cause you seem like you're not there
Better sober and listen to me
for if you mess up then I won't care

         Get in your right mind
         Show me a good sign
         Get out of the highway
Step off of the white line

You've been growing more insane each day
And you've been out of control
You're stepping even closer to the edge of the pit
and there's no one there to save your soul
When's it snakes and ladders you pick the snake
and you ate the apple it gave
You stole the tarts from the Queen of Hearts
and then you blamed it on the knave

         Get in your right mind
and you'll have a good time
         Listen to reason
and then you will be fine

I always knew you as a real good friend
but I now I don't know who you are
You and I have been really close
but lately you've been really far
I try to give advice, but you don't hear
and you think that I don't know jack
if you want to kill yourself, I don't care
but if you do, then don't look back

         Get in your right mind
         Show me a good sign
         Get out of the highway
Step off of the white line
         Get in your right mind
and you'll have a good time
         Listen to reason
and then you will be fine
