Rubiyat Poem
His Life For Your Life Into his mouth, he breathes in the lead. His soul turns to black, his face turns to red. A click of the trigger, turns on his sleep. He doesn’t take sense, but boundaries instead. This street is the marker of a gang’s domain, Whoever crosses will find themselves slain. You will not be missed and no one will weep, in a world made of children, a world made of pain. Yet comes now a hero who dares to come in- the menacing hatred and of killing sin, with bandage and gaze to hold back the flood. This complete stranger, but a brother within. Known as a medic or doctor to some, but still as a hero in these city slums. And though life is drown in meaningless blood. His life for your life -no matter where you come from. Kactus Berry
