What's my line?
What was my line again? An experiment in poetry

Four of us got together to write a poem with a diference. The difference was that we would each contribute 1 line to each of teh 4 stanza's, but we would only know the 1 previous line that came before... So when i sent a line to Ronda , all she knew was my one line, to which she added her own. Then the line she wrote was passed on to redboots, who again, added a line based only on what Ronda had written. This was then sent to wordswright, who added the last line of the verse only having access to Redboot's line. Which brought it back round to me again, only having access to the first line i had written, and Wordsy's line, and not the middle two.

Here is the result....

Wondering about my life alone
Questions unanswered, mistakes to atone
unjustified anger, for love that is gone
a bleeding heart aches when left to it's own

A complex dance do we engage
Timeless as the winds unchanged
deeper than loves first pain
that echos of sadness in vain

Forever lost to my soul
My troubled mind has lost control
my heart has lost all feeling
no pain in which to cope

How to end my longest of days
Despair building while hope decays
A life grasps tightly to final days
At lingering thoughts of long lost ways
