love and no love
how it shouldn't have to be

because i love you
i carve your name into the sand
with crosses
for kisses
and surround you with a giant heart
(i use the toecap of my shoe
to paint each letter).

and because you don't
love me
i knock you senseless to the floor
with kicks
not kisses
and circle you with vicious words
(i use the toecap of my boot
to paint each bruise).


so now will you love me?
