The Poetry of You
Quizmo LaGrande The light within these starry eyes Happed ignite when you swept by. No words or wind of tasteful deed Could shield the loveliness of thee. A breathless charm, my dream created My eyes, my ears, core permeated Floated in one fleeting glance As if I had not partial chance. That night you stole my heart and soul, Do you recall? I begged not let go. The instant that you lit the flame I set foot inside a different plane That realm of poetry and art, Music dashing though my heart Nevermore to plainly be A simple sedentary me. Now love, in exponential measure, Grows daily, with just one wee tether, The poetry, my Love, of you, The means by which my pen sings true. ~~***~~
