A Heartbeat Away from You
How do you feel when you can't find the right words to express what you feel?

Let my heart whisper in your ear,
Let it tell you all that I could not.
Its racing heartbeat it's a mere reflection of the anguish it feels at not being heard,
and the constant fear of losing you.

My lips have withered, through the lies and half truths, they are not worthy of expressing how much I care about you. The pain I feel when I see you is unbearable, and the punishment unspeakable when I lose myself in your eyes.

Let my heart whisper in your ear,
Let it tell you how much I've missed you.
It's heartbeat races even faster, so it can escape the prison of my chest and join yours.

My voice lacks the warmth of old, and the kind word dies before it's even born. My love has surpassed the mere sounds my throat could muster.

Let my heart whisper in your ear,
Let it sing the the sweet melodies born of my soul.
Each heartbeat will be a part of this music, each thud will bring me closer to you.

My hands are burning and being consumed by this accursed fever, they remember well those moments when they held you. Now they beg to the heavens for your return and I join them.

Let my heart whisper in your ear,
Let it tell you the truth that for so long I've avoided,
Let its heartbeat join yours in an unparalleled joy, because the truth only my heart could reveal was that I Love You.
