One Ball

One ball to one person
and I want to share the ball with someone
but no one wants to receive this ball
All around the playground I ask
"Anyone want this nice ball?"
but the reply is nil.
Until two, that I had asked before
now want the ball
but I can only give it to one
What do I do?
I didn't mean for my offer to become popular
All I wanted was to share my ball
with one person
and now that more than one want it
I am lost
for I don't want to hurt those
that I gave the offer to
