Solace...
For those who have gone, Faces my eyes may never see. I honor what they have left, And their support given to me. Authors lost from notice, Lost from this very home. Someday I might join them, And then I won't be alone. For those who have gone, Souls departed from mind, Strangers preserved by life, Friends forever lost in time. Mortals of a simple want, Who had no chance against Fate. They may have once had potential, But for them it grew too late. For those who have gone, And for those who are here, Together under one word, May chance bring sweet care. No remembrance for what's lost, Nor shall any last forever on, But I smile and state acknowledgement, To those who have gone.
