Even Though You Are Gone
I will inhale your breath and exhale my life let your absence consume me as dawn pierces the night and fondly remember the almost but never kiss when we got close but couldn’t bridge our distance and built walls to cling to this façade of resistance. It might take a priest to expel you from my flesh forty days and forty nights just for me to refresh to open my eyes along with the dawn and not let a tear fall even though you are gone. 05/13/02
