Unicorn's Tears
A short poem about a young girl growing up too fast

UNICORN"S TEARS

Only a child growing up too fast,
Save the end for the beginning and the beginning for last,
Now don't mean nothin' and the future won't last,
A heart beat away and the present's the past.

A child's afflication with power and pain
Is all too addictive so it happens again,
It makes a fool the teacher and the scholar insane,
It tears at your soul and makes tears fall like rain.

I'll give you my love to wash away all your fears
As soft as a dove or a unicorn's tears,
Whenever you need me I'll always be near,
And I'll hold your heart gently as long as you're here.
