Raindrop
poem about an exploited raindrop

Avg Rating: (1)
The rain pounds the rooftop in heavy torrents
Searching for safe refuge
it slides down the ashy panes
and falls to the earth
Caught up in an oasis of murky soil
The sponge-like roots of the world
absorb the pools, stripping them of identity
And the grass grows greener
in the All-American backyard.
