The Disgruntled Customer
You would think she'd appreciate a free meal!

She sat precariously trying to eat
Grasping, clutching, pecking
Wrenching each morsel free
The wind buffeting her about

She came close enough for me to hear
Haranguing, harping, complaining
She should not have to work
The noise buffeting me about

She notices my lack of understanding
Fidgeting, hopping, flighty
Returns to her meal
The sunflower buffeting about

She throws another piercing look
Accusing, demanding, compelling
I refill the feeder
Chickadees can be quite indignant
