Distant Thunder
What depression feels like when it's coming
Rated:

Avg Rating: (4)
Thunder rolls in the distance
Clouds
First gray, then charcoal
Dark, Darker
Black
The whole sky is black
so dismal
Rain
It starts, it stops;it starts again
drizzling
soft showers
it pours in torrents now
no shelter from this storm
The rain is coming faster now
and harder
each drop cuts me to the core
Suddenly, in the near distance the thunder claps
now overhead
BANG
lightning strikes
first at my feet, so I cannot walk
Then at my head, so I cannot think
Then at my brain, so I cannot feel
It grips my heart. It may never let go
Disabling
Like labor pains
first a pang,
then a pain,
then intense pain
Pure Pain
And just when you think you can't take anymore
D E A T H
Only if I'm not here
will the pain die
