The starlight lit me a path of silver,
And led me to her beautiful form. Upon her banks I knelt and rested For I had wandered and was worn. In the forest, underneath the shade, I took solace in her serene way. In the night, beneath moon and stars, I lost track of any signs of day. In her tranquility I found comfort, In her friendship I found release. She was the guardian of the waters And she was the one that gave me peace. I gently touched her gleaming surface, And watched the liquid ripple around. I drew closer to the sapphire water And listened to her soothing sound. She called me closer with her voice, And I was enthralled by that tune. I smiled in sweet content of wonder And listened on beneath the moon. She called me friend and forest sage, She called me wise and a man so kind. She called me one who walks with nature, And I called her light, I called her mine. Verdant swirls danced in her current, And golden leaves fell to her touch. Silver embers danced in reflection And I watched the night form as such. She embraced me in her guiding waters, And she held me with her silent light. And so our friendship echoed in darkness, Vanquishing the silent moments of the night.
