The sea of memory
Good memories can be so painful in bad times...

Barely floating, barely alive
Struggling against the current,
That tries to drag you under
Into the sea of memory

Flooding my mind,
Burning my heart,
The water rushes in to destroy
Water of the sea of memory

Scenes of better times
Times when I loved
And was loved
Scenes from the sea of memory

Water pours into the boat
Stabbing my feet
With a thousand knives
Knives from the sea of memory

Waves sweep over the boat
Turning it over,
Leaving me to drown
To drown and burn forever in the hell that is
The sea of memory
