We can not hide from time.
Even the strongest bow to her will. Try to stop the swing of the pendulum. Try to make time stand still. Time goes on. Like rivers that flow to the sea. Here and gone. It seems to move so quickly. They say time heals. Time also destroys. Soon making old women and men, From young girls and boys. As I look back. Years of youth wasted. Not taking the time, To enjoy the life that I tasted. Remembering, Lifelong friends made. Seeing sadness in their eyes. As life's light slowly fades. Children growing up. Old friends getting older. Feeling life's breath, Get a little bit colder. Tired of fighting time. Her ravages having left their traces. As I lose my precious grasp on life. I see tears in loved one's faces. One last embrace. As I step into the dark abyss. Images of your faces, These things I will miss. We can not hide from time. Even the strongest bend to her will. Try as we might, Time won't stand still.
