TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING.
Time is like a clock in the heart.

Time is looking back on cherished memories with family and friends,
through tears and laughter, admitting how we all know where it's going and where it ends.

Time is wishing I was a teenager again, with the strength of that ferocious tiger,
willing to take on the world by jumping through those hoops of fire.

Time is wishing I were back in college earning that degree,
back then teaching gifted children was all that mattered to me.

Time has a way of slowly changing before your wondering eyes,
it doesn't see you, it won't feel you, or even listen to your mournful cries.

Time can also be a gentle breeze methodically passing you by,
or time can be a sharp strong wind that strips you barren and dry.

Time can leave you with stale memories that ripen beautifully with age,
or time can leave you with your darkest nightmares, locked inside you, full of rage.

Time is always playing tricks on you, sometimes very cruel,
time is knowing yours is short because of an illness science can't rule.

Time for some, can be like a dark thunder cloud,
that we tend to wear around us like a thick, heavy shroud.

Time for other's, however, can be futures wondrous, full of delight,
with gentle guidance to help them through their plight.

Time is forever, and forever it will be,
let us use time wisely, for the good of all humanity.
