Yesterday, I was dead.
The world shed no tears for me. I was forgotten long before my birth, But in being forgotten I was so free. I had dreams that no mortal cared to know. I had destinations that no mortal cared to go. I live a life lost, forgotten and alone. Someday I'll find peace, If such a thing is known. Tomorrow, I will live. The world will not smile at me. I had never asked for this sweet life, And I should never wonder if I can be free. What if this war of life and death was not to understand? Will I grow wiser with time? Will I be a man? I live a life lost, forgotten and alone. Someday I'll find peace, But can I make it shown? Today, I will fade. The world does not know me. I live for nothing but life's offerings, And through this one day I'll be free. I cry myself to sleep more times than I can count. My mind is filled with thoughts of endless doubt. I live a life lost, forgotten and alone. Someday I'll find peace, And I'll call it my own.
