Perfect Imperfection
As I gaze at my face in the mirror of your eyes I don't notice the tiny scar above my left eyebrow or the tiny wrinkles forming around my eyes and mouth or that my cheeks are not smooth and perfect. As I gaze at myself in the mirror of your eyes I don't notice my weight or how my arms hang slightly bent at the elbow unable to straighten completely or that my body doesn't conform to the Madison Ave gold standard. As I see myself in the mirror of your eyes for just a brief moment I see myself as you see me perfect in my imperfection. I wish that I could see myself as you see me every moment of every day.
