And will you simply say--

         Because one starry April night
         I searched among the heavens
for the rhythm of your dancing

and my fingers would not cease
         from their caressing
of a face they could not reach

while my spirit spoke its story
         all along the highway
that I blessed for your returning

         safely home from Baltimore,
