The Ethereal Prison-The Soul's Cage
A small piece of the soulscape.

An unfettered body, a soul in chains;
No iron bars, no leveled planes.
No brick and mortar, set to harden;
No cold steel-door, watched and guarded.
Thick, stout walls that none can see;
Seemingly stronger, by far, than me.
No threat of torturous, bodily-harm;
No violent act to cause alarm.
Oh, how much subtler a thing,
Does imprisonment within ghostly-cell bring.
Only emptiness, does one meet;
The solitude, so sickly-sweet.
No more to trouble lonely soul;
No horrid beasts to sheer and cull.
But alas, also true...
No comfort from those who knew.
Brushing against the darkened walls;
Feeling prison-bounds, while madness calls.
My ethereal prison, all alone within;
A wall-less cell that holds me in.
