Are Angels Real?

"Mom are there really angels?"
my son asked, one night before bed.
"Of course there are," was my reply,
God sends them down instead.

"Instead of what?" my son inquired,
as I tucked him in real tight.
"So God has help watching over us,
they help him with his plight."

"Will they watch over me Mom?"
he asked,
his blue eyes wide with wonder.
"Of course they will my sweethearted
child, God never makes a blunder."

Satisfied with my response, he
closed his eyes to sleep. As the
angels watched over my son, I
knew his safety they would keep.
