Abram of Ur
Abram of Ur became Abraham; Jacob, after wrestling, Israel; Saul, diminished and uplifted, Paul. Joshua called to sun and moon, Lifted hands, the sky stood still; At Hezekiah's plea, the earth spun retrograde. But still we speak of names and times As if we know what time it is, As if our names are names.
