A Wish and a Wonder
By Quizmo LaGrande My insides are outside, my questions are mud. I’ve reflected on life, death, fried chicken and fuzz, I’ve wished upon daydreams, stars, copper pennies, Pirates and promises with sighs aplenty. There’ve been no promises, thus none to break Innocent folly to whether or shake A dozen damnations in minds’ eye behold, Or a wish and a wonder in wise apropos. And justify sweetly a smile and a grin, A daisy’s He loves me, then Loves not, again. A whistle to conjure the fantasy’s mold… A wish and a wonder in wise apropos.
