The Moon is Not Meant
After a series of paintings on exhibit

The moon is not meant to be yellow only.
Infused upon night sky of red or green,
The stars are dropping from their tracks into three
Or more settings of color, wanting to be seen.

But only the moon is pictured here (a slip
Of events), yet she has her colors worth singing,
Songs more deadly than siren-songs toward the ship
Of Ulysses, more potent than his being.
