A Moment's Rush
When I see her...

A Moment's Rush

Taking a break from my thoughts
My eyes scan the people around me
They meet your face

A rush of joy overwhelms
Taken captive by your beauty
And memories past

So much there just for you
Just like always I approach you to speak
But then I stop

Interrupted by another thought
I remember that it isn't the same as before
I cannot think

Longing for those days past
When this would be a received encounter
I cry inside

I'm back to my thoughts alone
Then I realize they're about you, too
You hold my mind

All of this goes by at once
I see you. Sudden joy, then sadness
A second passed
