{For all my friends and all of the wonderful people I have never met}

Sometimes we have to carry on regardless
Mankind seems to just tumble forward
Innocent children carry on tradition
Love helps spread our ancient mission
Every one of us will make it count

Laden with our worries and fears
All of us look for an escape route
Unknown to us the door is open
Giving every part of us away
Hope, honesty, humour, and happiness are our goals

Painful days make us feel so weary
Laborious work chains us to our jobs
All we want is some time for fun
Years pass as we toil onwards

Life will give us many surprises
Each of us will learn to cope
And we can share our wisdom
Reading, writing and reaching out
Nobody should go without a tutor

Together we will make this happen
Everyone can demonstrate talent
Always looking to make things better
Caring we will find our own doors
Helping each other helps us all

A mission to smile,
A duty to play,
An aspiration to teach
Minds ready to listen,
The door to happiness is open
