THE OTHER SIDE OF LIES

I never knew that eyes could look like that
So full of emotion
So full of love
I always thought that eyes were empty
Of all those foolish emotions
People always say are there
But your eyes proved me wrong just now
As I spoke the words I didn't mean
I can't see mine
But they are either vacant
Or full of the lies I've been telling you
I love you, I said
Of course I love you
And suddenly I wonder
While you look at me
Suspecting nothing
What would happen
If you ever knew
How often I had lied?
