"Friday To Monday"

We met each other when we were in high school
From the first glance we shared a love that grew
Today is Friday and I am with you by your side
Until Monday when to New York City I must fly

Let us treasure and cherish every precious second
Forget everything else relish and savor our moments
From Monday to Friday the time goes by so slowly
I Count all the long hours in each long day I'm lonely

My thought are always of you at work all the time
I am confused and walk around I'm losing my mind
My work friends tell me of the changes they see
Since your love has been mine the weekends time

I look forward to Friday I know I will see you again
We can share our precious love over the weekend
Our two days together will be like Heaven to me
I can't wait for the day when all seven days will be

Until that time we will have to realize and make do
With just our precious weekends when I'm with you
When I get finished with my work in New York City
I can be with you always in our home in Kentucky

When we won't have to wait for weekend romance
Expressing our love every time we get the chance
In New York City my work keeps me very busy
They are so many sights to see in the Big City

I get lonely wanting to be with you in Kentucky
Where I wait for the day when I am very lucky
I see you and me living on a this small farm
With a cow or two and certainly with a barn

I hope my wishes and wants become a reality
Settle down in our little farm home with a family
I don't care if its in a shack by the railroad tracks
Maybe on a small farm with its country charms
