THE REASON

THE REASON

I read about your angels
And the way you wondered why
You were spared four times -
Not allowed to die.

You wondered at the reason
And you could not sleep;
Well, I may have an answer,
It is yours to keep.

I believe it is beause
God has His plans laid out;
There are things we must do
And He gives us the clout

To carry on despite the odds,
To do the best we can -
He knows we aren't perfect,
And may not always understand.

I believe that He gives us
The courage to go on through;
He gave us a bit more time
Cause we still have more to do!

When He feels that we are finished,
That our work down here is done;
He'll take our hand and lead us home
And say "Well done, my son!"

So never wonder why you live
Or why things happen as they do;
Our Savior knows and cares
And He alone will see us through.

Sleep well, my friend,
Within His tender, loving care!
No need to count the stars tonight -
The answer - isn't there.
