My Little Puppy
R.I.P. My Baby

Hey little puppy, and your big brown eyes.
My love for you can't be compromised.
I remember when you'd run around and chase your tail;
Whenever we would tug it, you'd chase it without fail!
And I do believe you caught that rascal about once or twice,
But once you realized it was attached, your yelp didn't sound very nice!
The sound of your bark when I got home from school,
Or the time you were wearing purple sunglasses and thought you were cool!
Of course you got older through the years,
But never failed to comfort me when I was in tears.
I can still see the time when Kirsten got out of the shower,
And you were smelling her hair because it smelled like flowers.
And the time when you decided to be Snoopy and sleep on your house,
Or when you played cat and chased that mouse.
You'd run down the hallway, and screach to a hault,
But you'd slide into the cupboards, and the slippery floor was at fault.
Or when Kirsten and I had you in my room where you weren't supposed to be,
And the blankets slid off of you, so mom yelled at me.
I look at the pictures of you in your younger days,
And you just got more adorable in your old age.
Now a disease is spreading through you and nothing can be done,
It's taking away your youthfulness, freedom, and fun.
Stay calm my little baby, it's going to be alright.
I'm going to try to keep you happy with all my might.
I love you so much, and when I look at your face,
I can still see the little puppy who left his food all over the place!
I know that as of right now, you don't feel very much pain,
Bu I still wish I could help you and make you young again.
My little puppy, look how far you've come!
Everybody loves you, including me, dad, and mom.
So my little puppy, I know you love me too,
But I will ALWAYS AND FOREVER keep on loving you.
