THE ANGRY SEA
Waves crashing against the rocks -

Avg Rating: (5)

Waves crashing against the rocks
Trying to wear away the stone -
The angry sea is lashing out,
And the winds just seem to moan.

Again and again it hurls itself
Upon the rocks and then -
With a show of force and foam
The waves come back again.

The tales that the sea could tell
If only it could relate -
Of stately ships and feisty crews
It caused to meet their fate!

Swallowed up in the angry sea
Never again to be seen;
Still some pieces swirl to shore
And rest in the moonlight beam.

Ghosts of the night ride the waves
Of the angry, surging sea
Inviting one to try their courage
And to face their destiny.

Waves crashing against the rocks
From an angry, restless sea -
No calm this cold stormy night
As the winds blow wild and free.
