You Were There...
A poem about one of my best friends...

Introduced at a time of isolation and fear,
Our friendship grew.
Quite the unlikely duo,
Through heartaches and pain,
You were there.

In my times of desperation and sorrow,
You were there to embrace my tears away.
When my heart has been shattered into a thousand shards,
You were there,
To help me piece together the broken puzzle.

At my performance debut on stage,
You were there,
Front and center smiling away.
When no one out there seems to care,
You are there to keep me walking down my path.
When life twists and turns with new experiences,
You are there with ways to untangle the knot.

If I need comfort,
You are there.
In my mind,
You will always remain.
