Looking back~0~
I was nothing, ~1~
until you gave me life.~2~

From my first breath~3~
until the end of time,~4~
I'll be there for you~5~
in your time of need.~6~

You gave me love~7~
when no one else would.~8~
More times than not~9~
it was you to bandage a scraped knee,~10~
or to remedy a broken heart.~11~

Now my moment has come~12~
to wrap you in my arms,~13~
brush the hair from your face~14~
and say these comforting words,~15~
"Mother, everything is going to be alright"~16~

I'm never further than~17~
a phone call away from home.~18~
I'm never to old~19~
to recieve the love you've shown~20~
and mom, I love you.~21~
