It must be lonely where you are
The sun doesn't seem to shine
You say you're left out in the blackness
You say you're left out all the time

It must be lonely where you are
And with all those phony friends
Telling you they need you
Then running off again

You think that you are lonely
You feel you have no place
But I can see right though you
There's false depression on your face

So don't give me that falsity
That your life doesn't matter
Selfish tears trail down your face
Pity only makes you sadder

It must be lonely where you are
Hiding with your pity and your pride
But to me you are so special
You have a heart of gold inside

It must be lonley where you are
But it doesn't have to be
To find yourself
And be yourself
From there you go on free
