Jeremy
I don't feel the ending that this has anymore, but I thought it was a good add.

It'll never be the same
Even though I wished it would
Once I used to want it back
On the brink of love we stood

We fell into it, not thinking
I was sure everything was right
But suddenly it ended
My heart shattered that fateful night

You said you didn't feel the same
Your heart had changed from mine
The feelings you had felt for me
Altered in two weeks time

I didn't know just what to say
My senses all were numbed
I couldn't shed a tear until
The call was almost done

For one week I was broken
My heart drowned in a river of tears
All I could think was I wanted you back
It felt like healing took years

It felt so lonely to be just friends at first
I wouldn't let you see how my heart felt
I was hoping you'd finally see the light
And take away the pain breaking up dealt

When you stopped saying that you loved me
It hurt me for so long
But then my heart heard your reasons
And I knew forever for us was wrong

I soon realized there was a reason
Fate must have different plans
So being friends came easier
I could joke and laugh again

It's good to know that we still care
Although we're not meant to be
You'll always be in my heart
Though we set each other free

A good friend is what you are to me
Crying shoulder; confidant
To share my times and trials of life
You as my friend is what I want

That fateful night that took our love
That made it die away
Has flourished into friendship now
That in my heart will stay
