Rubiyat Poem
My Life For You I would give my future, for all your memories, and still my soul quietly, from any earned appease. I would make a sacrifice, the time of my remaining, surrender to a drowning fate, surrendering in ease. I would give away my sight; my very blood away, and all that is within me - this gentle heart’s convey. I would lose my inner dreams; all the yet forthcomings, and deny myself for you, and all there is, betrayed. I would give all I am, and all I’ve ever known, and live among a death; live in hell alone. Withdraw my living breath, from this lonely destiny and refuse my life, let go of living; deny my very own. I bow my head forever, yield the next pursue. For I will always love you; if only this, you knew. When you’re not there - there is nothing there at all. So I would give my life away. I would die for you. ~for Maria B. (aka Menke) - "My silly little girl from Michigan." Kactus Berry
