Blackness fills my heart and soul Slowly I lose all control If I fall I won't return Catch me so my heart won't yearn I long for life that once tasted sweet But it was lost in a bitter beat Lost, I face the world alone Not a prayer to make it on my own If only you could hold me before I hit the blackness I now store Inside of me, never pouring out I need to see what light is about Could a promise of life you give me be true? Or should I rely on somebody new? If you will help me, please let me know Before blackness fills my heart and soul written in 1996 ![]()
