You shoved me down once You tried to steal my pride You thought you had me down You thought it only took one try But boy, you guessed wrong And I can tell that you're surprised When you saw I got back up I saw the fear inside your eyes I dusted off, I got back up Though shaky I may have seemed And then I proved you wrong About what you thought of me I'm stronger than you think Even though I sometimes may fall Because I'll always get back up I can't always lose all When you think you have me down Don't turn your back to go When you look back and I'm not there You'll be the last to know You can't keep me down My will is stronger than you Even though you shoved me down once We both know once will never do My determination gets me through Though I may seem hurt at first I'll get back up, I'll be all right Go ahead and do your worst written in 2000 ![]()
