on a walk with my child
you laughed today and my world was new then you wrapped your small hand around mine you showed me the flowers, the rocks and the trees and I saw them all for the first time we waved "hello" to the shadow folks to our surprise, they waved right back! then we followed the ants to see where they go, but when robins flew past, we lost track you taught me to find where the echoes hide and to see every leaf on a tree I'll teach you to walk and to talk and to read but the one who is learning is me for Harrison
