“Ace, we need to talk,” Asia blurted out through the silence of the pool table.
“Not right now sweetie, “Ace mumbled through concentration, lining up his shot. “Yes, right now,” Asia retorted Ace looked up and saw the concern on Asia’s face. “In a minute, I swear,” Ace nodded with a tight smile. Asia’s brows furrowed as she hopped off the chair and walked out of the Bar without a word. “Oh shit,” Nola slipped from her chair and ran out after her sister, Ace looking at the guys blankly. “I think you blew it,” Miles patted Ace’s shoulder. Ace groaned and followed the path that Asia and Nola took outside. He found his way over to the two and swallowed. “Asia, are you okay?” Ace asked. “I’ll leave you two to talk,” Nola gave her sister a quick hug, then retreated back into the Bar. “Asia?” Ace asked once more. “I’m sorry Ace, I can’t do it,” Asia spoke up simply. “Can’t do what?” Ace looked bewildered. “This relationship. I can’t take it. I’m sorry, it’s just…we both want different things. I want a relationship that’s going to last. I don’t know what you want, but I can almost guarantee it’s not that,” Asia explained. “Well…” was all Ace could say. Asia gave a small smile. “Thank you for noticing it too,” Asia said softly. “I kinda figured it was coming. I’m sorry Asia, but you’re right, I didn’t really want this to last forever,” Ace sighed. “It was fun while it lasted,” Asia offered. Ace gave a grin. “Indeed it was,” Ace agreed. Asia smiled and began to walk off into the Bar again. “Asia?” Ace called out. “Yeah?” Asia stopped and turned around. “Out of all my girlfriends, you had to be one of the best,” Ace gave a small smile and a blush. “Thanks Ace,” Asia smiled back. “Whoever does land you forever, that’s one lucky guy,” Ace called out to Asia before she finally set off.
