Lovers in Suspension
Love's sweet arch

Lovers in Suspension

Shoulder blades and feet
anchor the arched bridge
your body imitates.
I am the wanting sky
that tests each span of you.

And in my wanting, sway you,
breathe your rising sighs, and ride
the tensile strands that swell and fall
to please the flowing potency
of love's incessant traffic.
