Beginning a journey one morning And with the first light of dawn, I stood barefoot in the cool sand, My heart began soaring with song. Turning, watching the tide go out As the wind feathered my hair; I found the song and the music Lifted me far beyond any care. Soaring so high, far above me I watched the seagulls in flight, A place of peace and contentment I found in the dawn's early light. Turning to God with my questions, He smiled back down at me - "My child, this I have created - To set every lonely soul free". In the beginning I was uncertain As to what I could do to survive; Turning away from the ocean, I was glad to be here and alive.
