"I'm Jamie"
(12/10/1999 - 17 years old)
Hi! I'm Jamie.
I am short.
I am understanding, unpopular, and supposedly underweight.
I have a hard time sticking up for what I believe in at times. But, as the days go by, it gets easier and easier.
I am a sister, a daughter, a friend.
I listen to problems. I give advice.
I tell my problems. I don't always use the advice.
I have a short temper. Want to get rid of that, and be a better person.
I am American. A citizen of Illinois.
I am Polish, French, Bohemian, Italian, Irish, German... (need I continue?... Didn't think so.)
I have been therapized, scrutinized, televised.
I am forgiving, but not to myself.
I am intelligent. Yet, I am stupid.
I am learning chemistry and advanced algebra... and how to eat.
I am a doctor's best friend. (And our insurance company's worst enemy!)
Been in the hospital more times that I can count, and had every test imaginable done... twice! (Not REALLY, but...)
I have depression, A.D.H.D., bad eyes, ears and lungs.
I'm anorexic and bulimic, and cut myself a few times.
But, that's not all there is to me.
I'm a gymnast.
I'm a dancer.
I'm a teenager.
I'm a student. I'm a teacher.
(I'm confused.)
I learned to love life, but forgot how many times.
I help. I hurt.
I'm a babysitter. I have babysitters.
I'm alive in this world. But, feel dead inside, at times.
I wonder about everything around me, and worry about everyone around me.
I start fights. And I stop them.
I provide encouragement.
I clean and I'm messy.
I do too much, but not enough.
There's more to me than what you can see.
There's more than even I know.
But, with everything said, let's just be simple now:
I AM JUST ME!
