Faithful Sin
Christian faith?

You give me advice,
you, who believe in Christ,
angels with beautiful wings
and all those glorious heavenly things.

You claim that God exists
yet my endless prayers He resists.
No answers have I received,
unworthy by Him, I have been deemed.

Abandoned in my faith,
unproved promises of heavenly gates.
Goodness, you say He's shown,
truth is I've found we live alone.

Your "God of love" who gave us life,
yet mine is filled with endless strife.
I feel not a spiritual hand,
Alone, I walk this desolate land.

"He is redemption for your soul!"
This is what I've been told.
If your faith is in this god unseen,
you've closed your eyes and believe in dreams.

"Believe in God and all His might.
Answers are wrapped up in the Bible tight!"
Upon reading, fictional stories are all I see.
Your unyielding faith remains a mystery to me.

"Sin not or I give you death!"
Your very life, He claims to caress.
I hope your faith is not in jest,
for I sin to welcome this lifeless rest.
